Used in a USB enclosure, then a Sonnet Thunderbolt dock as warm storage for video editing. It’s a hobby, no professional work, but I do transfer a few dozen GB of movie files at once when I reorganize, about once a month. Hefty price for the 8TB, but having one external drive big enough that I don’t ever have to worry about enough space was worth it. I have external HDs for archiving. My home server is an old Asus ultrabook with a SATA SSD, no card for NVME’s. Formatted to ExFAT, I could move files between the Asus & Aura, but the Finder on my Mac couldn’t isolate file names in a search. Had to reformat the Aura for just Mac. Runs fine now. Not its fault. Mine. MACSales was FANTASTIC in helping me sort out where and why things weren’t working as planned. Very happy with the product and the follow-up service! - Ryan

I purchased the Envoy Pro SX 40Gb/s portable enclosure kit along with a 2TB Aura Ultra III M.2 NVMe SSD. In fact, I bought two, one for me and one for my wife's M3 Mac Pro laptop. This powerful combo is like lightening in a bottle (okay, aluminum bottle)! We could not be happier with the combo that we're using for local laptop backup using SuperDuper. If you want a NVME SSD in the 3000MB range. This is a good one it has a 7% Over Provisioning of NAND. Very good TBW of 3115TB total bytes written. And if has a nice price to it. I them as a storage vault.
